Shady Shooting

Day 5 was an intense 6 hours of filming.

The morning started with both groups in the darkest corner of the parking lot.

The Dream House Studios production, Finding Stein, is a comedy Whodunnit, and this morning the crew were filming a clandestine meeting between the bad guys.  Fortunately Beverly Hills high School has a very quiet parking garage that was perfect for our needs.

The Nova Productions crew was on set as well to lend a hand where needed, and also to learn first hand the procedure of shooting a scene.  I'm amazed how many times, and from  how many different angles, you have to shoot something for two lines of dialogue!

After that first scene was wrapped up the two companies parted ways, and shot separately for the rest of the day.

Nova Productions' feature, St John's Asylum, is a gritty thriller.  They spent most of their day in a location known to the crew as 'The Creepy Room' filming interrogation scenes.  (The sign on the door says 'Practice Room', but our name is more accurate.)

In the meantime Dream House Studios were roving around the Science and technology building filming at different locations.  The outside of Salter Theater became a courthouse.  The stage itself was used as the court room, and even our desk in the editing suite was used for an office scene.  Dream House said the desk was perfect because it was messy!  It's not 'messy', it's busy and very organised.

Hope you all have a great weekend.  The filming continues on Monday!
